297/365 – Flu jab

For the last few weeks there has been a constant group of people sniffling, coughing and spluttering around me. Then a couple of people were ill and I decided it was time to get the jab.

There has been concern from the myasthenia community about the impact of injecting flu into your system. As it affects each person differently, I can’t speak on behalf of the community. All that has happened to me is a lump on my arm, which was one of the side effects the nurse discussed.

I got the flu jab for the first time last year and I had no side effects. I’ll continue to get it while it’s recommended as after having flu in my teenage years I’ll do anything to avoid that kind of total wipe out.
