303/365 – Sheltering from the storm in Dublin

Elaine and I are sheltering from the wild weather in Dublin this weekend and I’m looking forward to a rest. Yesterday, we battened down the hatches yesterday while the windows were rattling, but last night we tried to go for a walk in the city. We lasted a few minutes before ducking into a cosy basement wine bar. In typical Irish fashion, the rain didn’t stop the partying and town was thronging with locals and tourists alike.
Today we’re venturing into town after postponing plans to climb the Hellfire Club. I’m looking forward to diving into some cosy Dublin cafés and watching the rain out of the window.
